Amish-style haystack supper and a fun auction to boot!
The Farm Place held a fundraiser August 23rd to raise money toward building a barn at The Farm Place. The auction was a great success, raising more than $50,000! Attendees enjoyed delicious haystack supper with home-made desserts.
Raffled items included a 1/4 beef, along with Ruger 10/.22 and a Ruger Bushmaster .460 rifles. Kids entered a giveaway to win a BB gun.
Yoder Auctions of Shipshewana donated their services to the auction, which featured a huge variety of donated items from local businesses and individuals including furniture, tools, power equipment, hay, gift certificates, quilts, buggies, a storage shed, a boat and trailer, and even a 32′ x 48′ garage!
The proceeds will be used to build a barn with office space at The Farm Place on SR9, just north of LaGrange. Thank you to all who participated!
